A minor problem with the 338 Winchester Magnum barrel is if you put a scope on you lose your irons, the scope rail runs into the rear sights so they have to come off to use a scope. His favorite rifle is the 338 Winchester Magnum I picked up online at the NRA store. My all-time favorite hunt was for pronghorn antelope in Wyoming, but my favorite trip was fishing in Alaska. My dad said his favorite caliber is the 338 Winchester Magnum he got at a NWTF banquet last season.
I like the the 256 Win Magnum best for deer hunting. My all-time favorite rifle is the Savage 11-FCNS I got at Wiley Outdoor Sports in Abbyville. My mom’s favorite rifle is my new Savage 11-FCNS with the checkered birchwood chambered in 256 Win Magnum and 338 Winchester Magnum.
